Black Point Perfumes Festive Project 2024

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to announce Black Point Perfumes project of giving back this festive season.

As some of you may recall from last year, we got involved by raising funds for the wonderful Corran Kennels in County Down to help them continue their incredible work of Rehoming dogs. It was such a rewarding experience for us and this year we want to continue giving back to our communities as best we can.

This year we wanted to work closely with local homeless charities within Lisburn and Belfast by raising funds as well as providing their shelters with knitted Hats.

According to homelessconnect.org. It was reported that 8183 of people in Northern Ireland in 2023 were homeless, this was an 9% rise from figures in 2022. And unfortunately this figure is predicted to rise due to the continued struggles that people face every day.

To help those affected by homeless, I introduce Black Point Perfumes Project, Hats for the Homeless.

This initiative will start from today and my current goal is create and donate 100 knitted hats that will then we delivered directly to local shelters allowing them to distribute these to their local communities. I am planning to have a drop off every 7-10 days and will be keeping you all in the loop as we try and reach our goal.

I guess the first question you might be wondering is, well how exactly will it work?

For every donation made, Black Point Perfumes will pledge a knitted hat to be donated directly to a homeless charity who will then distribute the items to those in need. We will call this Donation option A and will cost £5.

As well as that with each donation made, as long as you leave an email or contact information, I would love to send you a photograph of the hat that your donation helped create.

We will also have an option available for those who would like to purchase a knitted hat themselves as well as to donate one to a local shelter. We will call this Donation Option B. This option will cost £12.

What does my money actually go towards?

As our time will be 100% dedicated to this project the only thing we ask is that your donation goes towards the cost of the wool needed to make these items.

Therefore, a donation of £5 will cover the costs of creating the hat as well as a monetary donation of £2 will be set aside and used to purchase vital items that the shelter seeks at the time of donation. For example, shower gels, toothbrushes etc.

Your Donation of £12 will be split into the following - £6 to cover the cost of wool, £4 monetary donation and a £2 shipping charge of getting the knitted hat sent out to you.

We will also be accepting donations in-store, our shop address is 3 Bridge Street, Lisburn, BT28 1XZ.
